Previously, she served as the National First Vice-President overseeing the sorority’s membership functions. Valerie is a Diamond Life Member who has shown her dedication to Zeta since her induction in 1982, and has held numerous positions on the local, state, regional, and national levels of the organization, including the Atlantic Regional Director, Chairman of the National Executive Board and National Director of Strategic Planning. Elner Bailey TaylorGreat Lakes Regional DirectorSoror Bailey Taylor has served as Michigan State Director and Basileus of Zeta Beta Zeta Chapter in Flint, Mich. Soror Bailey Taylor also holds the post of resident Agent of Birch Haven, overseeing renovations of that Idlewild, Mich. resort-area property bequeathed to Zeta by Past 8th Grand Violette N. Anderson when she died in 1937. Bailey Taylor follows Soror Connie V. Pugh as Regional Director. Latosha N. HigginsIndiana State DirectorSoror Higgins has served in elected and appointed positions on all levels of the sisterhood. She was initiated into Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated in 1994 as a charter member of Upsilon Omicron Chapter. Soror Higgins is an active member of Mu Tau Zeta Chapter in Speedway, Indiana.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History, Juris Doctor, and Master of Laws in Corporate Law and Finance. She attends St. Jude Catholic Church and is a Member-at-Large on the parish council. Professionally, she is a licensed attorney and serves as the Ethics Officer for one of Indiana’s largest state agencies. In 2018, she was presented with the Indiana Inspector General’s Award for Excellence for dedicated service and outstanding accomplishments as an Executive Branch Ethics Officer. |
